Rifftrax Live! does Sharknado On July 10th the Rifftrax team returns to the stage make fun of the hilariously bad movie Sharknado.This is a movie where the title gives you all of the relevant information you need to figure out the basic premise, and how much effort was put into the production. Article photography by and On the Road to Austin Memorial Day weekend, 2014, Wilmington’s Brewskee-Ball all-star team headed to Austin for the Brewskee-Ball National Championship. The event, nicknamed "the BEEB," is held yearly in one of the four member cities of the league. What is Brewskee-Ball? Brewskee-Ball is an adult competitive skee-ball league with teams in Brooklyn, San Francisco, Austin and here in Wilmington. A rainy April is almost behind us, and Wilmington is looking ahead to a slightly less rainy May. Revenge of the Rims on the River Car Show Speaking of rain, if you thought you missed out on the Rims on the River car show, it was postponed to May 16th - 18th. All previous registrations will be honored, and there is still time to submit new registrations. Southern Culture on the Skids will return, as will Skye Paige and The Globe of Death Motorcycle Stunt Show. A Brief History of the Festival The North Carolina Azalea Festival is an annual Wilmington celebration of floral gardens and local art. The Azalea Festival was first held in April of 1948 to honor the beauty of local gardens, including Airlie Gardens. Hobby Greenhouse Tour   March 1st the Hobby Greenhouse Club welcomes local plant enthusiasts to its annual self-guided tour of local greenhouses.  This free event spans New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties, featuring greenhouses from members and non-members, as well as commercial and institutional greenhouses.   The first stop on the tour is the New Hanover County Arboretum at 6206 Oleander Drive.
